My husband and I are based in Melbourne, but our wedding was to take place in Brisbane, at Eve’s Restaurant at Teneriffe.  We phoned our first celebrant and arranged a time to meet.  Let’s just fast forward.  My fiancé and I left the meeting astounded; the celebrant was like Sergeant Major with all his orders on what we needed to do and he assumed he was just going to be picked at the end of the meeting - he assumed very wrong indeed.

I was left feeling very upset and a tad worried about how to find a celebrant so we went back to our list and thought let’s try a female and a high recommendation - well that was Robyn.  We rang to make an appointment and Robyn suggested we meet at Eve’s as we explained we were only in town for another 24hours and staying next door to Eve’s.  This was the start of the most amazing experience, as at the end of our meeting, I felt we were going to be married by an old family friend.

Robyn was just lovely and assured us without rushing our questions (although I am sure she had answered a million times) that every snippet of her answers we were happy with. There were no demands even up to the day before our wedding -  when we met and Robyn asked ‘Guys do you have your personal vows for me?’  Geoff and I laughed and said ‘oops forgot those!’  Robyn laughed right along with us and said that’s fine, sleep on them and go with the flow on the day…..And so we did it, was a lot of fun…                             

Robyn’s ceremony script was outstanding, beautifully delivered and written with great sensitivity to the feelings and needs not just of us two, but our family and friends that were present. Robyn’s charm and intelligence were everywhere in evidence, as well as her genuinely caring spirit.

Robyn was professional but fun, and never made us feel uneasy; once you start to read all the legalities involved in marriage you need this reassurance.  And that is our story.
