The commitment ceremony

A Commitment Ceremony is designed for those couples who wish to celebrate their love for each other without the legal implications of marriage. It provides a close and personal environment. Together, we will design a ceremony to reflect your individuality and your love for each other.

A Commitment Ceremony is ideal for same-sex couples.

Some couples have committed themselves to a future together but do not feel a legally solemnised ceremony is right for them.

I will work closely with you to design a ceremony that reflects your personalities, beliefs, family traditions, cultural backgrounds and your choice of ceremony setting.

Involving others

Family and friends are important, and there are many ways in which they can participate in your Commitment Ceremony. They may recite readings or prayers or be included in symbolic rituals. Family members and friends can be mentioned in the story of your journey to this wonderful occasion.

Planning

Whatever your relationship may be, please remember that a commitment ceremony is not a marriage, and therefore does not carry the same legal implications.

What my clients are saying

Our day was great! The ceremony was perfect – just what we wanted, fun, relaxed and us. You got what we were about and ran with it, which was great. All the guests loved the ceremony too – we had so many people commenting during the night and the following week about how cool our celebrant was. We said, “We know, that’s why we chose her!” Thanks again for being part of our big day. 🙂 Cheers.
